As a Newborn Photographer, I love not only capturing these sweet babies and documenting growing families but also putting it into photographic art that will not only be cherished by my clients but to pass down for generations to come. The newest product to be added for my clients marries these beautiful prints with a wood product that really fits my neutral and organic style. I love the hand crafted look of the finished product.

The heirloom wood prints can be printed in square, rectangle or circle shapes in a variety of sizes. Clients can choose individually or pre-designed wall sets that can be designed before sending it off for production to see how the images will flow together. I have included images of the studio sample below as well a sample proof for a wall set.

Seattle, Tacoma & Olympia Newborn Photographer | Digital Backdrops Before & After

If you follow the Dawn Rocks Photography, Seattle newborn photographer, on social media, you may have noticed the last few months the addition of some gorgeous really detailed set ups on some of my posts. I recently began incorporating digital backdrops as an efficient way to add something extra special for a set up or two into my clients newborn session galleries. Normally these set ups would take quite some time to set up and perfect and a newborn session already takes quite some time to get through all the set ups and poses as it is. I wanted to share a before and after of how I shoot in studio for the backdrops and how it comes to life.

I pose baby on a prop designed by the artist that created the digital backdrops. I use a variety of colors over the prop based on the digital backdrop to achieve a seamless and natural look for editing.

SEATTLE BABY PHOTOGRAPHER | KI'S ONE YEAR MILESTONE

As a Seattle Baby Photographer, I love to capture babies not just as a newborn, but to watch them grow and get to document their milestones too. I was so excited that I got to capture this adorable baby boy before his family moved. 

I captured his adorable smile at his newborn session too and it is so fun to see how much they grow but still have those familiar facial expressions and smiles that they did when they were just a few days old. 

I love to incorporate some of the props from my clients newborn sessions into their milestone sessions so I brought out the cream flokati and the cream curly furs that we used for his newborn session. 
 

These neutral colors and organic textures with a little vintage inspiration sums of my photography style in a nutshell. I just love how this came out! They complimented his blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes perfectly!

Tacoma Newborn Photographer | Baby Boy E Newborn Session | Dawn Rocks Photography

I just had to share this newborn session for Baby Elijah that took place at the Dawn Rocks Photography studio in Lakewood, WA. I haven't blogged for a bit but I need to get back into it so I am starting with this handsome little one! 

Elijah had the cutest expressions and the best hair I have seen come through my studio! I can't wait to see what this looks like for his milestone sessions. 

One of the best things about his session was having two Grandmas come visit and was able to capture all 3 generations during the session which doesn't get to happen often!

This stunning expecting mama from Lacey came to see me not only for an outdoor Maternity session but a studio session here in Lakewood/Tacoma. After the studio session, we ventured out to a hidden area at JBLM and captured some stunning images. Not only was the location perfect but pregnancy looks so good on this mom to be and she was just glowing!

Tacoma 6 month milestone session from this summer that is just too sweet I have to share! I am catching up on blogging and starting with this doll. She was just such a joy to have at the Dawn Rocks Photography Studio. From her big smile, to that gorgeous red hair to those sweet blue eyes. She was such a happy and content little one. Did our first 6 month milestone food smash and she just loved it! Check out some of the session below! 

Tacoma Newborn Photographer Dawn Rocks Photography's 1st Anniversary Giveaway

I am so over the moon every day that I get to call myself a newborn and maternity photographer. What an incredible year it has been! I officially launched Dawn Rocks Photography as a business last August shortly after graduating with my BS in Computer Science and Systems from the University of Washington. I spent the next few months preparing for my husbands homecoming from a deployment, the holidays and gearing up for some really exciting things for 2015. In January, I made the decision to specialize in newborn and maternity portraiture and I have never looked back. Parenthood is such a beautiful time and being able to capture a memory - of how they were when they were that small and the journey of making their grand entrance into this world is amazing. Creating something to cherish that memory, not only for the parents, but for the children and the generations to follow. 

In February I had the opportunity to spend a week with a newborn photographer that I admire and follow Kelly Brown from Little Pieces Photography . Not only did I learn so much about my business and the art of photography, but it was life changing for me personally. I set some goals and my biggest one has already been accomplished. I opened my own commercial studio and this summer that is exactly what I did! It has been quite a task but I would not change a thing! 

So to everyone who has been here to support me and my business along the way, thank you. Your support and love means the world. I adore my clients, watching their families grow and being apart of that journey.  The fellow photographers who lift one another up and help each other grow in this community(Special shout out to Laura Ryan Photography for her friendship and being such a joy in the photographer community to share with and support one another). To my husband and kids who has been so supportive of my love for the art, becoming a business owner and pushing myself to set and work towards these goals.
